Tayside Cancer Support is a voluntary organisation which offers support, information and befriending for anyone affected by cancer - patients, relatives, friends and professionals - and has been in existence as a Cancer Support Group since July 1994.
One-to-One Service
The one-to-one service encompasses befriending and is directed towards people whose lives have been affected in some way by cancer and who wish support on a one-to-one basis. This support may be by telephone or face-to-face as appropriate to the person's needs.
We offer free and confidential befriending to anyone experiencing difficulty resulting from living with cancer, whether patient, relative, friend or professional. This service is provided by volunteer befrienders who have received relevant professional training which enables them to offer this support.
Our open support meetings are held on the second Monday of each month, at 7.15pm, in Dundee Voluntary Association (DVA), 10 Constitution Road, Dundee. At these meetings people may give and receive support, reassurance and friendship, and listen to speakers on cancer-related and other topics.
